Current Status
What Samaritan publishes now, and what remains a direction

Current publication boundary
This portal is the public Samaritan site. Its current shape contains:
- The Compendium, currently a small set of philosophy, community practice, status, and browser-local tools.
- Browser-local tools for metadata removal, hashing, password generation, image work, QR generation, token inspection, and peer-to-peer transfer.
- A draft local-practice guide with a small starting pattern for neighbor contact, food exchange, human authority, and offline fallback.

Publication path
Internal Gitea owns the source and starts every deployment. Its runner checks
and builds the exact commit, places that commit SHA inside the static site,
builds the runtime image, and sends that image to the host. The host accepts
only a clean fast-forward of the same SHA. CI then checks both the local
container and this public hostname against /.build-sha.
That proves which source revision is being served. It does not prove that every guide has been field-tested; each page must carry its own evidence and limits.
Not operating
Samaritan does not currently claim:
- chapters, membership, or registered users;
- a neighborhood contact or food-distribution network;
- a deployed agent cell for matching food, needs, or deliveries;
- field validation of the new local-practice guide;
- one established public contribution endpoint for all Compendium material.
Those are possible directions. Their pages must keep saying so until people, deployment evidence, and field results make a stronger statement true.
Content debt
The inherited Garden draft was withheld because it had not been reviewed for provenance, medical and physical safety, or local assumptions. Crop, soil, preservation, and food-distribution material can return one reviewed practice at a time. Older self-hosting and project-catalogue drafts also remain in the repository without being published here. Presence in the Compendium is not proof that a practice has been field-tested.
